Dear Charter Brokers,
A few weeks ago, Hurricanes Irma and Maria had devastating paths across the Caribbean Islands and as a result, many charter yachts present in the area have suffered important damages.
Also several traditional charter destinations such as St-Martin, St-Barth, the BVI’s, USVI - to name a few - have experienced major destruction in terms of marine infrastructure and logistic facilities.
Having sailed, worked and lived in this beautiful part of the world for many years, our thoughts are going out to the friends, vendors and business associates with whom we worked with for so many years.
This coming winter season is going to bring important challenges to our charter industry as many brokers have already booked charters with boats that unfortunately are no longer operational. Also, some traditional charter destinations will be less appealing to your charter guests due to the major devastation that occurred in these areas. Marinas, airports, hotels, grocery stores, beach bars, resorts have been seriously damaged.
If you are looking for alternate solutions, please note that S/Y Curanta Cridhe is available for charter in the Canaries this winter from December 15, 2017, to April 15, 2018, and in the Med from May 15 to September 30 next summer.
The Canaries offer a wide spectrum of great activities and I invite you to contact me to discuss what could be proposed for your clients in this unique part of the world.
